Careers Day (with a twist!)

We had doctors and nurses, teachers and childcare workers, dancers and gymnasts, scientists and inventors, construction workers and skateboarders, fairies and footballers, vets and rock stars, business people and chefs, artists and cricketers; in fact, you name it, we had it!

We also had some somewhat old kids dressed in school uniform reliving their glory days!

What a fun day, and it was all for a wonderful cause. At final count, we had raised $295.05 for 'Hospital in the Home', an excellent Geelong based resource which allows nurses to care for patients in their own homes.

Congratulations to the 2016 Junior School Council for your fabulous work throughout the year.
You have truly made a difference!

Our final fundraiser for the year...

CAREER DAY (with a twist) will occur on Tuesday November 1st.

Children will dress as what they would like to be when they grow up and staff are encouraged to dress as school kids (that’s the twist!).

We are raising money for the Paediatric Home and Community Care Program - which is a local service that provides nurses and medical equipment in Geelong homes, allowing children to receive in-home care rather than going to hospital. This charity was put forward by a JSC representative whose mum works in this field and we think it's a really worthy cause.

Assembly

We are sending out HUGE thanks to our hard working JSC reps, supervising staff and everyone who made it along to our disco on August 26th last term. Today at assembly we presented a $1000 cheque to Caroline from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Geelong. She is so pleased to be able to grant the wish of a seriously ill child in Geelong.
